FAQ

Service Apartments & Villas:

Susegad Suites is a collection of serviced apartments and villas, we are Not a hotel.  We offer rates that are considerably cheaper than a similar standard Hotels but we differ in the fact that unlike typical hotels you are welcome to bring in outside food and drink.  But, of course, we do not offer the same level of service.  We do however provide housekeeping once daily, with the maids on call when needed.

We specialize in personalized service and making sure you have the ideal vacation. We are relatively new, but started with the ideal of providing the ultimate Goan vacation. In all honesty it’s not purely altruistic. An unhappy guest isn’t good business: A supremely happy guest who will recommend us to his friends is. We not only rent you an apt, but we help plan your ideal vacation. From what to do, where to go/visit and what/where to eat, what to pack, where to shop.. we’re here to help every step of the way.

Check-In / Check-Out Timings

Our standard Check-in Time is 1PM onwards, while Check-out Time is 10AM. Both check-in and check-out times are slightly flexible provided we are not booked for the preceding or the day after.  Please contact us on WhatsApp at +91 8882 80 8883 to enquire.

DUTY is not FREE

Duty-free in European/American Airports is overpriced and should be avoided. Most brands of alcohol and cigarettes are available in Goa for far less than the price of International Duty Free stores.

Best Exchange Rates

Don’t exchange money with the bureaus in the Indian airports as the rates of exchange are very bad.  An ATM machine is available outside the arrivals terminal building in Goa for immediate needs (cab fare etc).  In case of necessity, we’d be glad to loan you the cab fare in INR upon arrival.

Parking, Taxis & Car/Bike/Scooter Rentals

Secured parking is available inside the complex among several parking lots.

Car and Bike rentals as well as Taxis are available Inside the complex main gate.

I need to eat too!

Although we do not provide Room Service as our accommodation is self-catering with fully equipped kitchens, lots of food delivery options are available:

  • There are lots of local restaurants that provide free delivery – Menus are there in the rooms.
  • The DoubleTree Hilton within the compund has a bar and restaurants which our guests can access – its Coffee Shop is open till very late in the night.
  • Download the SWIGGY app. They provide delivery from a lot of nearby restaurants.
  • And of course this is Goa:  Go Out  LOL

Driving in Goa

If you’re planning on hiring a vehicle take your driving licence with you. The local Police often stop tourists, trying mostly to extort bribes from those unable to produce driving documentation. Officially you require an International Driving Permit, but you are permitted to drive in Goa for the first 7 days of your stay using your own countries Driving Licences, but noone really can prove otherwise. 🙂

Driving here is Very erratic, although people used to driving in other parts of India will find it quite relaxing given the extremely slow speeds here.  Goa officially deems you to be a saint if after one full day of driving here you’re yet to voice a few choice curse words for our speedbreakers  🙂

IMP: Things to Pack

Starter toiletries are provided in every apartment, and are later freely available here.

For our Indian guests: Clothing and attire in Goa tends to be very different from the rest of India.  Attire that you are likely to wear over here can be bought very cheap over here (albeit maybe useless to you when you go back) So please pack light: undergarments, swimwear and the bare minimum of clothing.

For our International guests: the 2 biggest necessities in Goa is 1. Bottled or purified Water and 2. Mosquito Repellents.  🙂
Although all water in our complex is pre-purified, we provide water purification units in all our apts.
Indian Mosquitos seem to hate our own Indian Repellents, sometimes even taking a liking to the sweet smelling imported one. So don’t pack any.
Also please remember that India is medically quite advanced, and most medicines are available here cheaper than the west. So please don’t bring along your neighborhood pharmacist as a travelling companion. Think about it: does your doctor ‘back home‘ look any different than the one you’re likely to run across here? 😉

LGBT / Unmarried Couples

Yes, Susegad Suites welcomes LGBT and unmarried couples to come and enjoy a  safe vacation with us.  There is no law in India which forbids an LGBT or unmarried couple to stay in hotels.  Selecting to stay together is someone’s personal choice which comes under “freedom of choice, expression and movement”.
